Annual Fallen Soldier Scholarship Run at the Jersey Shore Legion Post 36

The annual Fallen Soldier Scholarship Run in memory of Lance Corporal Abe Howard will take place on Sunday, May 19th, beginning at the Jersey Shore Legion Post 36, 320 Seminary Street in Jersey Shore. Registration is from 10 to 11:30am. $15.00 per rider, $10.00 per passenger and $5.00 for a poker hand. A meal after the ride, served at 3pm, as well as entertainment, a gun raffle and 50/50 drawings. Ride ends at the Muncy American Legion Post.

Gift Card Bingo at St. John’s Church of Christ

St. John’s United Church of Christ is holding a Gift Card Bingo on Sunday, May 19th, at the Fellowship Hall, 906 Old Route 15 in New Columbia. Doors open at 12:30. First of Scoiefty Programs at the Thomas Taber Museum

The Thomas Taber Museum at 858 West Fourth Street in Williamsport will hold the first of its Society Programs on Sunday, May 19th, at 2pm at the Community room of the museum. The lecture will focus on the Evolution of Glassmaking and will be presented by Deb Parsons. It is free and open to the public.

Buffalo Valley Singers’ Annual Pops Concert

The Buffalo Valley Singers present their annual Pops Concert, “The Music Never Ends” on Saturday, May 18th, at 7:30pm and Sunday, May 19th, at 3pm. Concerts are performed at the St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1050 Buffalo Road in Lewisburg. Tickets are sold at the door or order online at with PayPal at BuffaloValleySingers.org. Adults at $5. Children 12 and under free.

5th Annual Lycoming County Police Camp Cadet Golf Tournament Registration and Payment Deadline

The 5th Annual Lycoming County Police Camp Cadet Golf Tournament will take place on Friday, June 7th, at the White Deer Golf Course. Cost is $80.00 per golfer, $320.00 per team. Kedron United Methodist Church will hold Home Made Days on Friday, May 24th, from 9am to 4pm and Saturday, May 25th, from 9am to 2pm at the church, at the intersection of Route 220 and Edkin Hill Road, ten miles north of Hughesville. There will be great food and plenty of vendors.

Monthly Chicken Bar-B-Que at Stat 6

Fire Stations 31 in Antes Fort and 6 in Nippenose Valley are joining forces for a monthly Chicken Bar-B-Que. The one for May is on Saturday, May 25th, at Stat 6, Route 44 in Oval beginning at 10am.
