Eric Spencer, better known to friends as "Spud" or around the office as "Intern Eric," started as an intern at Backyard Broadcasting in the summer of 2006. It wasn't until later that year that he became a part of the crew as a Weekend Warrior having a weekend on-air shift on Country 105 WILQ, Saturdays from 3-7pm. However, from time to time he fills in where ever he is needed. A 2007 graduate of Lycoming College, Eric had two weekly shows called "Spud Country" on the college radio station WRLC, while majoring in Corporate Communications. With the college station, "Spud" had an opportunity to broadcast the Williamsport Crosscutters road games during the summer of 2004. He is a huge NASCAR fan, who enjoys photography, playing Texas Hold'em and a round of golf every once in awhile. Growing up in Montgomery, PA, Eric would listen to the "Q", dreaming that someday he might become a member of the on-air staff. Looks like that dream came true after all!
