EARN COLLEGE CREDIT & TRAIN FOR PSP AT THE SAME TIME Pennsylvania State Police have launched a new partnership with several colleges and universities that allows seniors to earn their remaining college credits while completing cadet training at the State Police Academy. Under the program, students can graduate and become state troopers at the same time, earning college credit similar to a final-semester internship. The initiative is open to students in any major, not just criminal justice. Participating schools include DeSales, Keystone, Luzerne Community College, and others. Cadets are paid during training, with room and meals provided. More information is available at PATrooper dot com.
RESOLVE FOR BETTER RESOLUTIONS As the new year begins, many people are setting resolutions focused on better health, saving money, or reducing stress, but experts say sticking with those goals takes a plan. Setting realistic, specific goals and breaking them into smaller steps can make resolutions easier to maintain. Tracking progress, whether through an app or a journal, can help build accountability. Experts also recommend giving yourself grace if you slip up, saying consistency matters more than perfection when it comes to making lasting changes in the new year.
POSSIBLE LINK TO MULTIPLE BREAK-INS A Lock Haven business owner believes the same suspect may be responsible for multiple break-ins in Clinton County, including a burglary at a Mill Hall restaurant now under investigation by state police. Oberle says surveillance video from his property appears similar to footage from the December fifth burglary at Rey Azteca Mexican Restaurant, where more than two-thousand dollars was stolen. Police have not confirmed a connection. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lock Haven Police or PSP Lamar.
