Ella Langley has reached a major chart milestone with Choosin’ Texas, which has now spent 23 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The latest chart update confirms that the country hit has established a new record for the most weeks at the top in the chart’s history. The previous mark belonged to Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You, which accumulated 22 weeks at No. 1.
Choosin’ Texas was released in October 2025 and first reached the top spot in February 2026. Its run at No. 1 has been nonconsecutive, with the song later returning to the summit and continuing to build its total.
The track was written by Langley with Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor. It serves as the lead single from Langley’s second studio album, Dandelion.
The record has also generated plenty of online discussion, including questions from some listeners about its unusually long chart run. Still, its 23 weeks at No. 1 officially give Choosin’ Texas a new place in chart history.
