CHARGES FOR TWO LOCAL DRUG DEALERS
A Williamsport drug arrest has led to charges against a second suspected dealer. Police say 38-year-old Shawna Hockman was taken into custody after detectives seized 133 grams of MDMA, methamphetamine, crack cocaine and packaging materials from a Park Avenue home. According to North Central PA dot com, after her arrest, investigators say Hockman cooperated and helped set up a recorded meeting with her alleged supplier, 32-year-old Jerome Williams. Williams is now charged with drug delivery and related offenses and is free on $50,000 unsecured bail. Hockman faces similar charges.

FLOURIDE COULD BE REMOVED FROM SELISGROVE WATER SUPPLY
Selinsgrove Borough Council has voted to remove fluoride from the municipal water system. In a 5-2 decision Monday night, council approved beginning the process following a public hearing and new state requirements that would mandate daily monitoring and roughly $40,000 in equipment upgrades. Retired dentist John Lazur urged officials to reconsider, calling fluoride a “safety net” that reduces cavities, especially for low-income families. The borough must now seek approval from the Department of Environmental Protection, a process expected to take about six months.
